3D Holographic Projection
Why have two dimensions when you can have three? The ‘Princess Leia’ effect (more formally known as broadcast 3D video) is finally here. Well…nearly.
A futuristic new video display system was launched at the end of last year by the Danish Company, ViZoo. Cheoptics360 is an optical illusion technology which projects video within a special chamber (a glass pyramid) to create 3D moving objects. This holographic video literally floats in space and can be viewed from all angles, 360 degrees around, in all ambient light conditions. The system can be used indoors or out, and can use film video or computer graphics to display the product demo, presentation or advert.
Not small enough for the living room yet, but for outdoor advertising impact, this is impressive new technology that we should see more of this year.
