CMS Approved

Golley Slater's Newcastle and Leeds offices have passed the Consultancy Management Standard (CMS) to become fully accredited members of public relations industry body, the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).

Golley Slater is now the only PRCA member in Newcastle and one of only a few in Yorkshire. The Standard is an independently-audited set of eight tests designed to ensure delivery of professional management, professional performance and measurable ROI for all of Golley Slater’s existing and future clients.

Golley Slater Chief Executive Chris Lovell said: “Being awarded the Consultancy Management Standard is a fantastic achievement that underlines Golley Slater’s commitment to best practice. It also puts us among a very select group of just 120 (out of over 2,000) public relations firms across the UK to hold this sought-after kitemark. This is a well deserved award for our PR teams in Newcastle and Leeds, as everyone has worked extremely hard to gain the accolade".

Golley Slater's offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and London are already accredited. The company's Manchester and Edinburgh offices are also aiming for PRCA accreditation in the future.

“The benefits for our clients are measurable, as the standard ensures complete transparency in the service we provide, something the PR industry has often been criticised for not supplying. We’re constantly striving to add value to our clients’ businesses and this development shows we’re achieving our goal and delivering results that really make a difference to our clients’ bottom line", added Lovell.

Natasha Schwarzbach, Director at the PRCA, commented: "We welcome Golley Slater into membership and congratulate them on passing CMS. The Standard provides clients with a beacon for finding consultancies that have proven their value and professionalism."

Golley Slater Newcastle’s clients include a number of high profile companies, including Greggs, Wise Speke, Peter Barratt’s Garden Centres and Grainger plc. National clients include East End Foods, Spam and Persimmon Homes.
