Welsh Lamb
Golley Slater's new ad for Welsh lamb goes live at the beginning of July in a national TV campaign. Using the Welsh actor, Matthew Rhys, the commercial pays homage to the unique landscape and climate of Wales, establishing a clear link between the quality of the natural environment and the quality of the meat.
Creative head, Phil Hickes explains: "Opening on a snug, rain-lashed cottage in the Brecon Beacons, we alternate between stunning shots of the environment and mouth-watering images of a roast leg of Lamb being lovingly prepared. Visual 'echoes' reinforce the link between land and lamb, whilst a dramatic soundtrack made up solely of natural SFX further reinforces the quality theme.
"Up and coming Welsh actor Matthew Rhys who is now a TV idol in the States starring in the ABC series, Brothers and Sisters and is shortly to play Dylan Thomas opposite Sienna Millar in a UK docu-drama, delivers an intimate, languid VO, praising the rainy climate as a boon to both environment and meat."
