Golley Slater Public Relations has been appointed by the National Marine Aquarium (NMA) to raise its profile as the national voice for the marine sector.
Golley Slater's Bristol office will be handling the account. The remit is to position the NMA as the authoritative voice on marine issues within the national media using public relations to develop the brand, encouraging awareness within the media and the general public.
Liam Herbert, director of Golley Slater Public Relations, said: “With issues such as climate change and the environment already high up on the news agenda we’ll be pushing to make sure the seas get their fair share".
“The NMA has a critical role to play in raising awareness and encouraging action to safeguard the world’s oceans and their inhabitants, and we are very pleased that we have this opportunity to shout about the excellent work being done there.”
Golley Slater will work in tandem with the organisation’s in-house marketing team to ensure a collaborative effort across all media, promoting the NMA message.
David Pridden of the NMA added: “As a venue we need to be entertaining whilst educating the public, and as the National Marine Aquarium we need to have a clear position and a clear voice on the global, environmental issues which affect marine life.
“We are confident that Golley Slater will be able to help us in reaching these goals by showcasing the work that we do here and encouraging people to come and see for themselves what it is all about.”
