Job title: Head of Content and Social Media
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for setting the strategies for our clients across multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. You will play an integral role in ensuring that our campaigns are fully optimised for social media while meeting our clients’ objectives and bringing their messages to life in the most shareable ways.
You’ll manage a growing team of content creators who produce daily graphic, video and written content for our clients’ campaigns and our own social media channels. You’ll also be responsible for identifying future skills and recruitment requirements as the team grows.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our Creative Communications and Media teams, including account handlers, creative heads and our planning team to advise on and deliver the social element of our integrated campaigns.
This role is not only pivotal to the development of our social media capability and expertise but also integrates with several teams to produce a seamless client offer and seamless campaigns. This will involve working with our media and advertising teams to blend paid-for and organic content; with our creative team to develop and define our visual content offer and what is right for each campaign; and with our planning team on content and social media strategy and to define and establish their role within integrated campaigns.
You will also be responsible for working with your team to develop new business and existing clients’ social-only or social-first campaigns.
This will involve being client-facing, the preparation of proposals, strategies and plans and of evaluation reports.
You will work closely with our Head of Welsh Content on Welsh language campaigns, ensuring that content is conceived and developed in Welsh, rather than using the same content for translation.
You will be responsible for advising the business on the latest social trends and intelligence, on monitoring tools and software requirements. This means you’ll define and develop our best practice approaches, keeping pace with the latest trends, innovations and developments in this constantly changing arena. Because you’re results-driven, you’ll make sure we are listening, monitoring, measuring and evaluating as well as creating in the most effective, industry-leading ways.
This will be as much for Golley Slater Cardiff’s own as for our clients’ channels, ensuring that they are populated with fresh, interesting and innovative content that gets people talking and sharing.
